This story belongs to everyone, and at the same time to no one in particular. It’s a moment we all pass through without announcing it, when we suddenly feel seen without knowing why. This project comes from a poem, from a quiet feeling that returns now and then, one I still recognize in myself. A light falling, a silence settling, and the sense that something inside begins to shift.
Il y a toujours un moment
où tout le monde te regarde.
Tu ne sais pas pourquoi.
Peut-être que tu es juste là
au bon endroit
au mauvais moment.
Alors tu attends.
Tu fais semblant de savoir,
comme tout le monde.
Les secondes deviennent longues,
le silence aussi.
Et quelque part,
dans ce petit espace
entre toi et le monde,
quelque chose s’ouvre.
Peut-être que c’est ça, grandir :
apprendre à attendre
sans savoir ce qu’on attend.
Ce n’est pas grave,
il n’y a rien à comprendre.
C’est juste le temps qui passe,
et toi,
qui tiens encore un peu
dans la lumière.
There is always a moment
when everyone seems to be looking at you.
You don’t know why.
Maybe you’re simply standing
in the right place
at the wrong time.
So you wait.
You pretend you understand,
just like everyone else.
Seconds stretch out,
the silence does too.
And somewhere,
in that small space
between you and the world,
something opens.
Maybe this is what growing up is:
learning to wait
without knowing what you’re waiting for.
It’s alright,
there’s nothing to figure out.
It’s just time passing,
and you,
holding on a little longer
in the light.
